Bottles & Brushes!

Save the Date:   Friday, February 25^th, 2022
St. George Parish is offering again an evening ( 6:00pm–8:30pm) of fun, food, fellowship, and wine in our “bottles and brushes” art series.  This event is open to everyone.  We will be painting the light house this time.  To register will be $45 per person. Please call the parish for more information and to register. 
Note that deadline for registration will be February 22^nd.

Archdiocesan Annual Appeal 2022

The turning of the calendar to February means it is the time of year to make a gift to the Annual Appeal in support of the many charitable works of our Archdiocese.  You have been generous in providing for our parish needs.  Your support of the Annual Appeal is in many ways an extension of your parish support.  It is a critical source of funding for everything from seminarian formation to life and family ministries to pastoral and social outreach, all of which directly or indirectly impacts our parish and local community.  Thank you in advance for your prayerful commitment to the 2022 Annual Appeal. “Vocations Tree” Coming Soon!

What’s a “Vocation Tree”? Shortly before Ash Wednesday, you’ll find a “tree” in the church foyer covered with cards. Each card features a seminarian of The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington. We invite you to choose one card, or several, and commit to praying a short prayer for that seminarian each day during Lent. This is a great activity for families too!

Parish Photo Directory

Our parish family photo directory for 2022 will have another round for photo sessions  on February 19^th and 20^th. Our parish photographer will be available to take family portraits starting from 12pm-3pm. Please sign-up for photo session time in the vestibule or call the church office to reserve a time slot. Walk-Ins and donations are welcome. If you cannot make the photo session, and have your own picture to be included in the new Parish directory, please email to  secretary@stgeorgercc.org. Due to the high resolution of the photos, the files are too large to attach into the email. We ask if you would like a copy of your photos, please bring a thumb drive to the office and we will assist you!
