The pilgrim icon prayer program is a longstanding tradition for the Knights of Columbus, in which every few years a new icon is selected to inspire the Knights and their communities. Copies of the icon are distributed to each of the Knights' more than 75 jurisdictions, and travel from council to council.
St. Joseph Pilgrim Icon is chosen for the Year of St. Joseph, and travels for the years 2021-2023. Our parish’s KofC Father Sebastien de Rose Council 13091 will host the sacred icon of St. Joseph this week at St. George Parish.
We will conduct a prayer service tomorrow, May 6th – First Friday devotion after the 9:00 morning Mass with Holy Hour of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Saint Joseph teaches us to love the Eucharist; he was the guardian of the first tabernacle – beginning with Mary herself when she bore Christ in her womb, and then in the home where he and Mary lived with Jesus.
We will conduct another prayer service on First Saturday, May 7th after 9:00AM Mass in prayer for our children receiving First Holy Communion at Noon the same day. Saint Joseph travel icon will move to Holy Face Church on Sunday, May 8th.
ALL ARE WELCOME AND INVITED TO COME AND PRAY WITH ST. JOSEPH PILGRIM ICON
