SECOND COLLECTION FOR CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES
During Lent, we are called to draw closer to Christ through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as we prepare to celebrate His resurrection on Easter Sunday. This year’s Catholic Relief Services Collection is an opportunity to reveal Christ’s love to victims of war and natural disasters, refugees and migrants displaced by persecution, and others who experience hardship and loss.
Your participation in the collection supports Catholic Relief Services in its efforts to give emergency aid to victims of war in Ukraine and elsewhere, as well as five other Church organizations that help refugees find safety, provide legal aid to immigrants seeking to become naturalized U.S. citizens, and minister to the special pastoral needs of seafarers and travelers. Many dioceses across the country will be taking the collection on March 26-27.
Thank you for generously giving to today’s Second Collection for Catholic Relief Services!
VOCATIONS TREE
This weekend is your last chance to stop by the “Vocations Tree” in the foyer and choose a seminarian to pray for each day during the remainder of Lent. Seminarians who have just graduated from high school work on earning a bachelor’s degree in philosophy (First College, Second College, Third College, Fourth College). Then they study graduate-level theology (First Theology, Second Theology, Third Theology and Fourth Theology). Don’t let any of the men go without prayers!
The Light is always ON for you this holy season of Lent. In addition to the regular confession times on Saturday morning and afternoon, there will be Confession every Friday’s evening after the 7:00PM Stations of the Cross in the Church. Eucharistic Adoration and Exposition will be changed on Fridays during Lent from the normal 5:00pm to 7:30pm, immediately after the Stations of the Cross. Come to Stations, stay for a Holy Hour and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation every Fridays in Lent.
